“There is no revenge so complete as forgiveness.”
~Josh Billings
I often believe that I am too forgiving, however, after reading this quote I realized that maybe that is the best way to be. I am sure while the people you forgive think they are ‘winning’ by being able to screw you over or take advantage, you are really just a bigger person than they are.
“Don’t hold to anger, hurt or pain. They steal your energy and keep you from love.”
~ Leo Buscaglia
(And focusing your energy on your own life is more productive.)
“If malice or envy were tangible and had a shape, it would be the shape of a boomerang.”
~Charley Reese
(It all comes back to you in the end. Hold on tight, my friend!!)
Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? Matthew 7:3
I have had a rough few days. Can you tell? I had to vent and instead of just blasting said person(s) on my site, I figure this will do. There, I feel all better now.
” The only reason people get lost in thought is because it’s unfamiliar territory.”
~I dunno but it is funny!
“No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.”
~Hal Borland
“If there is anything in the world more annoying than having people talk about you, it is certainly having no one talk about you.”
~Oscar Wilde
I guess knowing that people care enough to talk shit makes one feel all warm and fuzzy. I guess, nothing better to do, right?
“Life is truly known only to those who suffer, lose, endure adversity and stumble from defeat to defeat.“
~Anais Nin
“Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragement, and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak.”
~Thomas Carlyle
“I like a teacher who gives you something to take home to think about besides homework.”
~Edith Ann
I like her quote but I don’t think you are supposed to trust people with two first names? Anyway. I wish more teachers taught with this in mind. Class is way more fun when a teacher incorporates real life. I hate the teachers that regurgitate what I just read or what they have typed on their Power Point presentations. Yeah, I’m in college, I can read. Really, no need to read it for me! Thank you very much. Here is my 4 grand! Next.
“Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition of your life; define yourself.”
~Harvey Fierstein
