So I went to Wal*Mart to pick up a few things and Monkey said he wanted to look at the CDs. I obliged of course because I love music too. Well, I ended up buying two CDs. I have not bought a CD in forever. The cool part, Monkey loves him some 80’s hair band music and of course….Michael Jackson.

I purchased the 25th anniversary CD of the Thriller album and it came with a DVD. We are currently watching the Thriller video short. Yup, pretty sweet!! Monkey is totally rockin’ out right now I also purchased Poison’s greatest hits for him. Yeah, I know. What can I say, he has taste? I think it is pretty cool that he enjoys the music that I listened to at his age.

When people talk about being bored or that something is boring,  it is because it is not about them. Just think about it. When things are all about you, you aren’t bored and you don’t think it is boring, right?

Yup, I am skipping school today. Of course, I have permission to for both classes. One professor posted lectures for the week online and my other professor gives us one free day. I decided to take it today instead of driving to MKE for one class. I’m already doing that on Thursday. It is cool though, going early will give me time to practice my IV skillz, yo!!

Ya’ll can hate all you want, but Michael Jackson was the shiznit back in the day. MJ had some talent before he got all crazy weird on us.

They don’t make music videos like this anymore. Granted the effects are lame or whatever, but at least it is more than a bunch of half naked girls dancing around some men who think they are gangster.

I just returned home from Crapplebees and yes, it was crap food! I tried something new and was disappointed. Per usual.

I ordered some new mac n’ cheese thing with chicken. Sounded good and pasta reheats well, so I went for it. When it came to the table, I almost flipped my shit. The pasta was floating atop a pond of grease! I am not even kidding. It was the sickest thing I have ever seen in my life! I almost asked her to take it back because I was NOT going to eat something that disgusting. It looked like someone put a pound of cheese food on pasta, nuked it, and then tried to stir it up. Instead of making her take it back, I ate some of it. The taste was okay, but I could not get past the pond o’ grease. I used my napkin to dab some of it up, but it was not enough. I ate the chicken and a few bites of the pasta, but that was all I could muster. I brought it home and I’m not sure why. I don’t think I can bring myself to eat it. I should probably drink some Drano. You know, to be proactive in the clogging of my arteries.

If I never write again it is because I had an MI in my sleep due to the cloggage of my arteries! Yeah, wish I was kidding. I will be avoiding that particular dish FOREVER!

Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Do NOT get the mac n’ cheese with chicken bowl at Applebees. You and your heart will thank me.

Pens! I just found the most perfect pens EVER!! I am somewhat of a pen whore. What can I say, I like having several different pens in my collection.

I purchased the most perfect writing instrument last night, the Pilot Precise P-700 Gel Roller pen. Writing with these pens is pure heaven, ya’ll! I used to hate gel ink because it gets all leaky n’ stuff, but not my Pilot pens. Another company, who’s name I won’t mention, makes pretty pens but the ink leaks all over your paper. I am way too OCD to have pen leaks all over the place.

I will be hiding these pens from my boyfriend because he will steal them, I just know it! We both have some sort of pen freakishness going on. He likes the company that makes leaky pens and I know once he tries my Pilot beauties he will want them.

Sorry. That was probably the most boring drivel you have ever heard in your life!

PS A good ol’ Bic mechanical pencil also melts my heart!! I loves me some Bic pencils. You have got to have fine point in whatever you are writing with! Medium is for sloppy folks

Has anyone else heard this song by Sean Kingston? It makes me laugh every single time I hear it and that is not often. I tend not to listen to that kind of music but I still manage to her it every once in a while. I wish he were my man and would take me to the slums where the killas get hung. Who wouldn’t want a man like that, I mean, really?

PS Mike and I had a discussion a few weeks ago how Sean Kingston, Timbaland, Akon, and T-Pain are featured in 90% of the songs on the radio right now. Interesting or redundant? Lemme just say, I would never pay for XM radio! While having this discussion one of those artists was on 3 of the 4 channels we turned it to. RIDICULOUS!

Was today. It was really good! I think I am going to enjoy this semester’s clinical time much more than I did last semester. We are actually going to be doing more patient cares and putting the skills we have been learning into practice.

I got to feed a patient today, do an assessment on another patient, and then we prepared for out patient next week. It was an awesome feeling. I felt accomplished today when I left.

Kind of nice to start putting it all together.

After clinical I got to go to my favorite class….adult. Riiiiiiiight, I freakin’ hate the class! The teacher is the biggest joke. I could teach the class better than she is. When we ask her questions, she cannot answer them or she just talks in circles. We have a test on Wednesday and no one in the class has any clue how/what we are supposed to study. Did I mention that she had NO idea that sickle cell is a genetic “mutation” if you will that protects a person from malaria. Yeah, she didn’t know. Every one of us looked around in shock and disbelief. I think I learned that when I was 5. Not really but, DUH!!
