A lot in my world this week. It has been super busy and now I have an evening to sort of relax and I could not be any happier about that!
I guess I don’t have much to say. Had two tests and a quiz this week. Well three tests if you count the Red Cross one, but I don’t. Oh yeah, had Red Cross training on Tuesday and Wednesday. It was a good time and I got to meet some nice people. Of course, there was this one woman. He or she is in every class, she asked 500 questions and 499 of them were stupid or something the instructor already said. That and she told stories ALL. The. Time. Reminds me of when I speak to Monkey’s class and have to tell the kids, if it’s as story, wait. I only want questions right now. Funny thing, an instructor basically told her to STFU last night! It was hilarious. It took all I had to not laugh out loud when he told her to “save what she had to say” or something like that. It was GREAT. I’m quit sure he was sick of hearing her just like the rest of us.
Yeah, so now I’m going to do some homework, eat, and watch some good ol’ TV!! SWEEEEET!
I take a big yellow school bus from a park n’ ride to school every morning and today I realized that they send all the crazy/creepy bus drivers to drive for us. I understand why they don’t let them drive children, shit these folks scare me.
Today I had a man that thought he was a woman drive me to school. He clearly wanted to be a ‘pretty’ woman and it wasn’t working out so well for him. The make up was terrible, the hair was not so great, but the hands. My. God. No woman has hands like this ‘woman’ did and they had fake nails painted a deep red attached. It was one of the scariest things I have seen in a while. To make matters worse, when I got on the bus the radio was playing Rod Stewarts “Maggie Mae.” I dunno, I just got this feeling like I was on a bus in some horror movie. It was..how should I say….creepy as hell!
Now I am sitting in some room that is ultra quiet and I am supposed to be doing my homework. Yup, I will get right on that. I have my first Red Cross training session this evening, so that should be fun. I will get home super late and be super cranky tomorrow, but that’s life in the fast lane.
I learned this quite some time ago, but was reminded today by a good friend.
You have got to be with someone who stimulates your mind and with whom you can talk. Forcing conversation and feeling like your talking to a tard does not make for a lasting relationship. A pretty face can only take you so far. Oh and that stupid act, OMFG! I could go off on a tangent right now about girls who act stupid for attention, but I have a patho exam to study for. Ya’ll are lucky that I have something else to do right now.
I just have to tell all six of you how much fun today was. Clinical was awesome! Makes me forget about all the crap tests, etc that I have to take. I thoroughly enjoy taking care of people. It makes me one happy girl. Of course, it didn’t hurt that my patient kept telling my instructor what a great nurse I was going to be
I guess Monday can be a good day every once in a while.
The right thing that is. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. That and you can look at yourself in the mirror without hating the person staring back at you. It may not always be easy, but the alternative is some serious self hate. I’m just sayin’.
It is like telling lies. They start out small and innocent, but they grow up to be huge and evil. Oh and you’re always so sure that that one person will never find out. Guess what, the person you never want to find out is usually the first to know. Murphy’s Law I think.
He really likes taking pictures with my old camera! He gets some really good ones too. Makes me so proud…
Last night Monkey and I went for a walk to take some photos and get some exercise. The plan was to walk around and take photos of stuff that we saw and thought looked cool. Really, I’m just trying to learn how to use my camera. I have not had much of a chance to use it outside since I bought it this winter. Anyway. We are stopped on the side of the road taking pictures and some man stops his car, rolls down his window, and starts talking to us. I couldn’t understand him and then he says, “I was hoping you would take MY picture.” I was like, “Sure” and so I did. I thought it was a rather strange request, but funny none the less. Here is the random man in his Audi!
