I Can Be So Productive Sometimes!

Friday, January 25th, 2008

I am getting so much done today! By noon I already had half of the items on my list crossed off. Now I am baking some yummy cookies for my awesome Fish watching friend Dave.

Did I tell you that my laundry was stacked a good 3-4 feet high in my hallway? Yeah, not kidding. Monkey and I were joking that we should try and stack it to the ceiling. That’s what happens when you come back from vacation and go straight back to school. Whoops! I assure you my laundry is getting done as I type. Please do not call child protective services, the rest of my house is up to snuff ;)

I got my extern application all finished and mailed out, my checkbook balanced (yikes), laundry is rolling, got some groceries, and now I have a shit ton more to get done. I don’t think it will end until….well maybe things will slow in May. Of course I plan on working full time this summer. I still think working is way easier than going to school, but that’s just my opinion.

At Monkey’s request we will be making some root beer this evening after dinner. For dinner, homemade chili. Yummers! That was also Monkey’s idea. Have you ever made root beer? It really is a cool process and it tastes pretty good too. I got him a kit 2 years ago for Christmas. Yeah, we’ve used it once. I guess we are due to make some more :)

Well that was totally scatter brained and a mess of words!!

Snow=People Driving Like Tards

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

I almost died again today on my way to school. A big truck in front of me slammed on his breaks, I did the same. When I did, my back end sort of slid and not because it was icy, it slid because I was going 70mph when this dude hit the brakes. Luckily I’m not an ass pirate and had time to stop my car semi safe like. Unfortunately for the mini van behind me, he was either too close, had bad breaks and/or tires, or wasn’t paying attention and he spun out behind me when he slammed on his breaks. My heart leaped out of my chest when I looked into my rear view mirror. I am still not sure if he got nailed by the car behind him. It was not a good time. Oh and we stopped so abruptly because there was a couple of cop cars and two regular cars parked on the shoulder. Not sure if maybe there had been an accident or what. Either way, didn’t seem necessary to almost cause an accident for that!

Then I get to school and some stupid girl comes whipping around the corner in the parking lot, at me, and then got pissed when she had to slam on her breaks because she was going to hit me. The rows have traffic going both ways and she simply was not paying attention to what she was doing and was going way too fast in a snow covered parking lot. Yeah, she slid all crazy like and gave me the look of death. Hey, beotch, I was on my side of the lane and you were the one driving like a stupid beotch!!

Honestly, when the snow falls, people turn into complete turds and drive like tards! I am ready for spring.

Lucky me, I have no class tomorrow because labs don’t start till next week. Good, because I am already behind on my readings :(

What Has Our Society Come To?

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

On my PITA way home, I heard that FOX has a new show coming soon. I don’t recall the name but basically they are hooking people that ‘love’ each other in one way or another up to lie detector machines and asking them questions. One of the examples was something like, “Do you think you’ll be married in 5yrs?” Honestly, do you think the other person wants to hear the answer to that?

What has our world come to? Is our society so warped that we now want to see people tortured like this? I just don’t get it. I’m not sure if I’m more appalled by creators of the show or the people who actually want to participate in such a mess. Heaven help us all.

Ignoramus!!

Maybe it really is bliss? Nah, not so much.

Being Late Sucks

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

I was late for my ‘meeting’ today on my first day of school :( I couldn’t help it. The roads were shit and when they weren’t, people were driving like they were. It was a mess this morning driving to Milwaukee. I was a half hour late, but there were 5 of us walking in late together so I didn’t feel super bad.

I got my PDA today and I’m so….not excited about it. This semester is going to be the toughest one thus far. Oh well, I have my big girl pants on, right?

My clinical is much further away than we thought, I hear my instructor is no fun, and I think that was all the disappointment that I got today. Gosh, I hope tomorrow is a much better day :)

Oh and the plow lady hasn’t plowed yet so my lovely tenants called my manager to bitch about it. UGH!! I called her and her plow is broken. Isn’t that some shit? With any luck she will have us plowed out by tomorrow morning?

Seems like today was supposed to be Monday or something.

Wow, That Is A Lot Of Snow!

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

Nice. My first full day back in the states and it snows a shit ton. I have no clue if they are going to close any schools because it is too early right now. Of course I’ll be on my way before they actually decide if they are going to close anything down. Near my school they got like 8in of the beautiful stuff and I think we got pretty close to the same here, but it is hard telling. I’m going to go and shovel it right now.

How I love WI weather!

I Made It Home Safely

From London last night. It was a good trip, saw lots of awesome things, and got to experience some very different cultures. Okay, not super different but for sure different from what I am used to. Saw the main tourist things in London and Paris, experienced their food, etc. Paris is just like the pics you see on TV and while in London, Sadie and I didn’t feel like were were out of the country so much. Of course people drove on the wrong side of the road, they had crazy phone booths, and stuff like that but just not super different. Oh and we could understand what they were saying.

Paris on the other hand, felt very foreign to us. Not in a bad way thought. We didn’t understand what they were saying, the streets were amazing to walk down, and there were sex shops every where. Oh and they really do kiss each other’s cheeks :)

I will likely drop off the face of the earth for the most part starting tomorrow as I am back to school. I will do my best to keep something posted on here once in a while but not like I have been. I know, you’re all crying right now.

Au revoir

Sunday, January 13th, 2008

My loves. That was me being a tard right then. See, that is French for goodbye and in the UK everyone is a love….I think.

Tomorrow is the big day and I have butterflies the size of Texas in my belly right now!! I cannot freakin’ wait to get on off the plane in another country. This is the first time I have ever left the country. Oooo and I’ll get stampage in my new passport. Yeah, it is the little things in life that excite me. Of course I’m hoping to get lots of stamps in the next few years in that passport of mine. I think Sadie and I might be going to Costa Rica in the future ;)

I have my most awesomist friend Dave taking care of the apartment while I’m gone, I took the fish to the fish sitter(same awesomist friend), and have everything packed. Now I just have to do the dishes, take the garbage out, and try to get some sleep. Riiight!!

Are you ready, Sadie?  The adventure begins in less than 12 hours!!
