Lake Michigan

Thursday, July 5th, 2007

Is beautiful at night! I just got home from there.  I got to watch a storm move in just south and watch the rain fall over the lake. The sky turned pink when the rain stopped. It was GREAT!!

I met some nice fishermen. Saw one guy catch a huge fish; it was his 3rd for the day.

I just have to say, kind of scary walking along the break wall in the dark. Next time I want to go on a clear night so I can watch the stars!

Your Nurse

Thursday, July 5th, 2007

I said I would talk about “Dirty Mary” and so today is the day.

Getting into UW-Milwaukee’s nursing school is not an easy task. There are only a few slots and your GPA has to be decent and there is an essay that must be written. It seems like a grueling process, but I think they should add a personal interview process. Dirty Mary is the one who inspired this thought.

Dirty Mary is probably in her late 30’s, married, and has a few children. Great, she’s going back to school to improve her life. Well, Dirty Mary is one of the most obnoxious, stinky, and just down right rude people you will ever meet. She has never offended me personally with words…..her smell…..who different story.

Dirty, for short, looks tore up from the floor up!! She has frizzy, shoulder length hair, dirt under her unkempt fingernails, rotting teeth, dirty toes, and offensive body odor. This sums her up physically. I know, you cannot wait until she’s your nurse, right? Riiight.

When she’s in class, she is extremely disrespectful to the professors. In physics she is constantly talking, giggling, and out right making fun of Jorge. She has done this in just about every class I have had with her. I’m sorry, but I’m paying for this and I would like to learn something. I have never in my life experienced such an immature, grown woman.

If there was a personal interview process, I can almost guarantee, Dirty Mary would not be attending UW-Milwaukee in the fall. No one in the program can picture her being compassionate, caring, or clean for that matter. I just know I would not want someone like her to be my nurse. Call me mean if you’d like, but sister needs to jump on the hygiene bus and take a nice long ride!!

Burn Em’
