What Do You See?

I am convinced that idiots rule this world in which we all live. Here is the story. I hit a deer on Memorial Day coming home from Michigan. The damage was not terrible, but was about $3000.00 worth when all was said and done. When I got the estimate the guy said it would take four days, tops, to fix my car. I took it in a week ago yesterday. Last Monday, when I dropped the car off, he said it should be done no later than Friday. I call on Friday and same guy says, “Should be done by 3:30. We’ll call you when it’s ready.” Okay, cool. I get a call around 2:30 and he tells me that while putting my car back together, they scratched the door and now it must be re-painted. UGH!! I said, “So you will have it done on Monday?” Guy, “More like Tuesday.” Then he asks if that is okay? I said, “Do I have a choice?” Hello, you have my car and I am stuck driving a 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis that gets 20mpg. ASSHAT! No, it is NOT okay!!
Well, today is Wednesday and it was promised to me yesterday. I call this man AGAIN and what does he say to me now? “We have the young guy working and he broke your door glass.” WHAT? He proceeds to tell me that the window should be in today, but he’s not sure about that. Tells me he will place a call to the ‘parts man’ to make sure they get it, TODAY. Again, I am promised to have my car back tomorrow. I tell ya what, they don’t come any smarter than the folks at the body shop in BD, WI. I won’t give their name just yet, but if they drag this out a few more days…..I will smear them all over the web!! (As if it will really help me any)
Just the other day, via email, I was griping about my physical imperfections to one of my bestest friends in the whole world. You know what he says to me? He says, “Tracy, that is what makes you REAL.” When he said that to me, it hit me like a ton of bricks.
I have several physical flaws ( I had a 9lb child, people), I am quirky and strange, I am emotional, I act goofy most often, I am wildly sarcastic, I am quick witted, and I drive my son crazy with mad lovins. I am not perfect, nor have I ever pretended to be. I have many flaws and the list could go on and on. I have, however, come to the realization that all these ‘flaws’ are what make me REAL. They make me who I am and I love who I am. You know why I love me? I love me because I am REAL.
