My Son…..the Bully

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

My son is 9, almost 10. He is quite the character and just an awesome kid all around. Great personality (like his mom) and really well behaved. Today he comes home from summer school and says, “Wanna hear a story?” I say, “Of course I do!” I was expecting another story about football, how boring soccer was, anything but what came out of his mouth. He starts to tell me that this kid, whom he thought was about 8, dumped water on him. He said, “I grabbed him by the neck, put him in a headlock, and threw him down on the ground!” I said, “Wow!” Then he says, with a look of complete and total dismay, “After he got up, he threw his backpack at me!” I am just standing there with my mouth wide open, not sure what to say at this point. I would have tossed my backpack too!! Then he says, “I picked up his backpack and just THREW it far away from him!” I am such a good parent, my response, “He won’t mess with you again, will he?” My son says, “No. I laid the smack down on him!” I about DIED!! Not that I encourage violence, but if that kid is stupid enough to dump water on a kid 2 yrs older than him, he deserves to get thrown to the ground and his backpack chucked across the lawn!! My child, however, is an angel :)

Near Fatality

chipmunk.jpegOn the Wild Goose Trail!! Actually, I almost had two incidents. I was just peddling along, rocking out with my iPod, and there it was!! I see them every 20-30 feet or so, but this one was not real smart. Yeah, it was a chipmunk. I about took his little head off with my sweet mountain bike tires. My Shocker carries a pretty heavy punch and when I am cruisin’ along… better watch out!! Lucky for that little rodent, I saw him and swerved right before his back was imprinted by my tire treads. I’m guessing he left a little snack for the bugs because surely I scared the shit right out of him. Poor little fella. Okay, I do not really care about the chipmunk simply because there are like 8 million of them on the trail!! They are running amuck and there should be some sort of …..restriction or something put on those animals.

On my way home, just as I was leaving the trail, a bunny darted out in front of me. I am just thankful that bunnies are quick. Pretty sure that the bunny would have taken ME out had we made contact.

Just another relaxing ride on the Wild Goose Trail :)

PS The dead kitty was quite bloated and there were fresh horse piles. Always something to keep me on my toes.

HELP!!

Does anyone know how to remove food coloring from carpet? If so, I would really appreciate the help.

(My son was checking to see how realistic red food coloring looked when used for blood.  Whoops! He said he did not realize it would just RUN all over and onto the carpet.)

I dunno?

I have NO idea who said this or where it came from. I found it on someone’s MySpace page. If you are wondering, yes, I am a MySpace junkie. That site is like CRACK!! Of course now that I have my own SITE….I may get addicted to it instead? I guess only time will tell. Here is another stolen MySpace quote:

“Loving somone is giving them the ability to destroy you and trusting that they won’t.”
