Today my son and I spent a relaxing day on the shore of Lake MI!! It was so beautiful outside and so toasty warm! I took him out on the…..I think maybe it is called a break wall or something? Not a pier really, just a huge concrete wall with rocks lining it. Anyway, we walked out on that and watched the birds eat fish out of the water. There were a million dead little fishies, so my wonderful son declared it, “dead fish day.” OM, this is TOO funny!! As we were walking back to shore, these two men walked past us and they were wearing neon spandex (bikers I assume) and as they are approaching my son says, “Wow, it’s getting bright out here, I need to put my sunglasses on!” I busted out laughing!! He did not mean anything by what he said, but it was HILARIOUS that right at the moment the neon men approached, my son decided it was ‘bright’ outside!! HA, gets his sense of humor from his mom

As we found a place to park our stuff, a dog decides to take a huge dump right near our stuff. Yeah, that was a great welcome to the beach. Luckily he had a responsible owner and they picked up the steamy pile o’ poo and threw it away. There were several dogs on this beach, but I did not mind. I like to watch the pups swim and fetch things. I did see a Chihuahua poo on the beach as well, but did not look long enough to see if it was picked up. Next. My son kept building trenches and destroying them, carrying buckets of water to shore. We made ‘castles’ and dug holes. I told him that we should dig down till we hit water and he thought I was crazy until…..we hit water!! He was like, “We are on land, how can there be water under here?” Too funny! He caught a couple of fish in his pail. Now, what I’m not understanding is these fish. They float on the water as if they are dead, but in fact, they are very much alive. Does anyone know why or what these fish are? Anyhow. We spent most of our day frolicking at the beach.
